When you sell the forest with land, you transfer full ownership – both land and timber – and receive a larger lump-sum payment immediately.

When you sell for cutting, the land remains yours – you are paid only for the timber based on volume. Which option is better depends on your personal goals.

If you sell the forest with land, the replanting responsibility passes to the buyer.

If you sell timber for cutting, the land remains yours, and the law assigns the replanting obligation to the owner. However, we can take care of replanting on your behalf – offering reforestation or compensation solutions.

If you have owned the forest for less than 10 years, a personal income tax may apply to the sale amount.

If you sell only the timber, income tac may apply as income from assets or individual activity. We provide tax consultations before each transaction to help you avoid any surprises.
